Plant Name
Hoya zambales
Hoya zambales is a remarkable addition for plant collectors and Hoya enthusiasts, particularly those drawn to unique, regionally native plants. Endemic to the Zambales region in the Philippines, this rare Hoya species features thick, oval leaves with a smooth, waxy surface that gives it an elegant, understated beauty. The leaves often have faint, subtle veining, adding a delicate detail that enhances its lush green appeal.
When it flowers, Hoya zambales showcases clusters of small, star-shaped blooms that exude a light fragrance, a classic trait of Hoyas. These blooms typically come in shades of white, pale pink, or dark red, with a soft, almost velvety texture, making them stand out beautifully against the plant's foliage.
Every plant is unique and can therefore differ from the plant shown on the photo.
Light:
Outdoor Shaded / Bright Indirect Light / Direct Morning Sun
Water:
Water until it drains at the bottom of the pot
Once a week or when the top 1-2" soil is dry
Extra:
Likes moist soil, not soggy
Remember to water your plants with intuition. If the leaves look droopy or shriveled, they probably need water. If they are dusty, give them a shower or wipe off their leaves.
