Why Is My Everfresh Tree Shedding Leaves?
It’s common for the Everfresh tree to shed some leaves when it’s moved to a new environment. Here’s how to care for it during this acclimation phase:
-
Acclimation Process: Leaf shedding often occurs as the tree adjusts to changes in light, temperature, and humidity in its new home. Don’t worry—this is a normal part of the process.
-
Light: Place your Everfresh tree in bright, indirect natural light, which is ideal for its growth. If natural light is limited, you can use a grow light as a supplement, making sure it’s positioned at a distance that provides enough light without causing stress to the plant.
-
Watering: Check the soil moisture before watering. The top 1-2 inches of soil should be dry before adding water. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot.
-
Humidity: Indoor environments can be dry, which can stress the tree. Increase humidity by misting the leaves or placing the plant on a tray filled with pebbles and water, ensuring the pot does not sit in the water.
-
Patience: The tree may continue shedding leaves for a short while, but once it acclimates, you’ll see it stabilize and new growth will follow.
